It’s eleventy billion degrees below zero here in Mississippi today. Ok its really 24, but it feels Eleventy billion degrees below zero. And my fucking house is currently at the balmy temperature of 59 degrees in the living room. Pardon me while I chip the icicles off of my freaking fingers. But the good news that its supposed to be 50 tomorrow, 65 Wednesday with lovely rain and then about 55 for Christmas Day. Nothing says Noel like a 50 degree day. Maybe I’m biased, but I’d prefer to freeze my ass off and have a bit of snow for the holidays.
Gift shopping is done - I think. I still have to lay out everything and see if the boys all have the equal amount of presents. I have to take Eleven and Five to the dollar store to get their gifts to others tomorrow. I went today with Six and Two, and that place was a fracking zoo. I’ve finished the grab gifts, for the adults and the nieces and nephews. I’ve gotten James his gifts, but I want to get him one or 2 more things, if I have the time and the money. He still has to get my presents, heh. I TRIED to tell him that I wanted Guitar Hero World Tour for me, but he wasn’t biting. But secretly, I want it for me. Please eight pound, six ounce Baby Jesus, let me get that for Christmas. Maybe I should sit on Santa’s lap tonight (heh, heh), and plead my case. Wish me luck.

Mississippi…not a bit dang better than Tennessee, athough the part of TN I live in is kissing MS. I’m in TN, freezing ma toes off and listening to thunder.
I mean, really, come on TN and MS. What other states can go from 70 to 30 in a day’s time and still be allowed to stay in the Union? Tornados and ice storms in the same month. The both of ya better straighten up and act right. Or else! I have the twin-sized mattresses ready to toss on top of my girls just in case. Oh, and a sled and snow boots. Good grief!

@ ame i. - I think that we live VERY close to each other. I like in a part of MS that kisses TN LOL. Actually it kisses Memphis, which isn’t really apart of TN (*laughs*). But I’d say that geographically we are close.
Isn’t this weather INSANE? I mean, to go from freezing my arse off to 65 in 2 days? I remember the tornado that hit my area in Feb (too close to my house, for my taste, BTW.) This weather reminds me of that. Yeah, we have the hallway cleared out JUST IN CASE.
Merry Christmas.

This was such a stressful year for us, shopping on a budget stinks. Your kids seem to have loved their gifts! It’s all we can hope. I am relieved it’s January, but sad in a way that it’s all over.
