and not in a good way either. (can you imagine the search terms that are going to come up on that sentence alone??) I’ve just responded to comments that were left in some cases over a month ago. So they are there, in the comments section of the posts. I do love ya’ll, really I do. I’m just lazy.
Trust me on that one. Christmas shopping still isn’t done. I will be one of those asshats in the store on Christmas Eve saying that I will never do it again. But I will be in the same place next year. I still have to take all 4 boys out to the dollar store so they can get their presents for the people on their list. Hell, no, I’m not taking them all at the same time. I did that last year (well only the oldest 3) and that was a fricking nightmare. I’ve gotten James done pretty much, and I’ve picked up a few things for all of the boys, but I just have to even out their gifts. I’m anal about all of them having the same number of gifts to open. Am I the only one?
We got our tree up on Monday. There was supposed to be icy weather here that night so our scout event was cancelled, so we made the best of it. (By the way, there was no icy weather, just real nipply cold.) The boys did 95% of the decorating and the next morning the lower half was missing ornaments. Two has decided to redecorate the tree every day so the ornaments are slowly being moved to the top of the tree by yours truly.
How are your holiday preparations going?

Well, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for once! I do the same thing every year, still shopping the day before I need the gift for someone, but I atually remembered this year, telling myself last year (and the year before that and the year before that and so on) that dammit, I wasn’t doing that again next year. Woohoo! Does once qualify as a streak?

I have 3 presents left to buy and I’m thinking that I’ll be doing it online. Because I have NO desire to fight the crowds.
Nothing is wrapped yet, but I’m going to rope The Daver into helping me with it this weekend. He has no idea what he’s in for …

Tree is up, all the girl’s gifts purchased and in transit. The only outdoor decor I bothered with are the 2 lit trees on either side of the door on the porch.
My left-side next door neighbors spent most of saturday before last putting lights on their roof, mini trees along their sidewalk & lit candy canes along their driveway. The same night, some jerk-weed came and stole the trees & candy canes.
I have maybe 6 no-big-deal gifts left to buy for other people. Today was the last day of school for the girls, so I’m coasting for the most part.

uummmm…Much left to do. I am almost done with the kids. I have one more to buy for my 4 and 2 for my 16 month old. No you are not the only one who must have the same amount of presents! We did the tree but every decoration I put up the baby takes down so I may be done. Husband bought lights for outside and never hung them up. I have 8 out of the 10 exchange gifts to buy. I am going this weekend. Heaven help me. The weekend before Christmas!

@ Heather - I always tell myself that I’m going to start shopping every year in October. Sadly, it has never, ever happens. And yes, we’ll count it as a streak LOL.
@ Aunt Becky - I don’t blame you for not wanting to fight the crowds. I wish I had done like I did about 3 years ago, I did 90% of my shopping online. That year was so much less stressful. Hey if you bought the presents, the LEAST that The Daver could do is help wrap them.
@ ame i. - Coasting sounds nice
Five told me this morning that he was mad because we didn’t put out any outside decorations, that we were SUPPOSED to. I can’t believe that someone stole your neighbors decorations. The punishment for that should be the death penalty.
@ Theresa - Two has taken down most of the ornaments from the bottom half of the tree, so not the top is the only part with them. I went out yesterday, and it wasn’t too horrible. I’m sending James out today. Bob help him.
